TIME: Yes Time Is An Illusion, but its also a Useful Tool

I wrote this to myself in my morning of the 28th September 2021 and felt it might be useful for you to read. The present moment is everything, but i like to combine that with consciously using the illusionary concepts of past and present to play with time (life) most effectively, by putting the unconscious psychological mind to the side

Everyday I connect with the beauty of this life just by writing down the date. I notice an initial panic as the thinking analytical mind sees the date but then i smile as i realise how my whole idea of time has changed, and realise how much is actually progressing bit by bit.

I am slowly becoming a master craftsman of my energy, of the work i do and of the impact I am having. Infact each day is a game, an adventure, i focus on what I choose to do and that's it.

Often I doubt myself and say i am not pushing myself hard enough and could have been in a better position by now, but that's not useful, its like blowing smoke into reality and its coming from the psychological mind.

I even get anxious and try to push on to future plans, creating worry and feel that tense action based on a clenching in my chest to propel my forward, again i know this doesn't serve me either.

What does serve me is playful imagination for the future by using the memory bank of awe over what i have achieved with my time so far, this is the only time memory is useful because now I'm consciously tapping into it rather than unconsciously.

Owning it like a tool rather than it owning me like a monster, tools can be put down and picked up whenever we want, monsters chase us and we tensely run from them

In the end the future becomes an exciting game, played from the now, taking baby steps

And i realise the anxiety created from writing the date in my journal each morning is actually beneficial as it reminds me of he preciousness of each day, and propels me to not waste a single moment. Again, owning it consciously and bathing in it, versus becoming a victim to the psychological reactions and running away from it

Questions to consider

  • How is time (thinking of past, future, present) owning you right now? i.e it is not useful
  • What's some examples from your past that will ground and excite you into the present moment?
  • What's some examples from the past that will propel you into creating a brighter future, from the present moment?
  • What else comes up for you after reading this?
